Glenda Epperson, the founder of the Omaha Bridal Network, noticed a need for the Midwest wedding industry to have an association in which local wedding businesses can work together for a common goal: an Association to keep Midwest Wedding businesses on the forefront of the industry, to market themselves to brides as a group, to offer networking possibilities and to create a standard in the industry that raises the level of ethics and responsibility of the wedding market to its customers.
After several years of research into association structures in other markets across the country, Glenda, modeled the association after several other well established associations such as the Triad Bridal Association in North Carolina and Wedding Specialists Of San Diego Bridal Association.
Midwest Bridal Association members are businesses that have a good reputation in the Midwest. They are a respected, diverse group of quality-oriented companies. Each provides a service to the newly engaged couple and each has been approved for membership by our Executive Committee. The members meet quarterly and discuss ways to better themselves and their business and even how to work together more effectively at the weddings.
Central to the Midwest Bridal Association is our Code of Ethics, which every member has signed. The Code requires that each member pledges himself or herself to honesty and integrity, to an understanding of his/her’s client’s needs, and to comply with the standards of the Association. Each member pledges not to betray the trust that brides place in him/her for his/her knowledge, experience and recommendations.
We carry out Glenda's vision today by providing brides with peace of mind when doing business with Midwest Bridal Association members. The brides are choosing businesses they can count on to make their event all they dream it will be.
